As part of the Nunavut Housing Corporation’s 2014–2015 construction program, this project consisted of constructing one new building of 10 housing units, in the city of Taloyoak. Because this area is covered in permafrost, the building, like most Nunavut construction projects, was erected on metal piles. We enlisted the help of several community members to complete the project. Thus, the work began in the fall of 2014 and ended in November 2015, respecting the deadlines and satisfying our client.
